We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to represent Country Chick Farms as our Farmers Market Booth Vendor for our current Saturday morning market in Austin. We would eventually like to add a Friday evening and/or Sunday morning market to the schedule as well, which would also be in the Austin/greater Austin area.

Most farmers markets are open rain or shine, as long as weather conditions aren't a threat to safety. We have worked them in the rain, near freezing, melting heat, high wind conditions, and everything in between. We have an excellent, ever-growing customer base, and our dedicated customers will come as long as they know we'll be there!

Requirements:

• Must be honest, trustworthy, and punctual

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving history

• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Must be available to work weekends

• Must be willing to learn about and positively represent the business

• Must have cash handling and Square experience

• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds

• Must provide at least 3 references, 1 being from a direct supervisor

• Prior market/sales experience is a plus!

The Saturday Market Rundown:

Arrive at the farm promptly at 7 a.m.; load eggs and ice packs into coolers. 

Ensure all additional market items are loaded into van per checklist; depart farm at 7:20.

Drive to market; meet market manager for booth space assignment (it may change weekly).

Set up tent with weights and rest of booth space according to market rules and training.

Market opens for sales at 9 a.m.; greet passers-by and sell some eggs!

Market ends at 1 p.m.; start packing up booth items and load into van. 

Depart market no earlier than 1:15 p.m. and no later than 1:30 p.m.; drive back to farm.

Return any unsold eggs/produce to cooler and ice packs to freezer.
